Introducing the "AI Governance" Theme — A Developmental Reframing of "Privacy Protection"

On June 15, 2026, we developmentally reframe RuleWatcher biz.'s existing "Privacy Protection" theme as a new "AI Governance" theme and make it available to RuleWatcher edu. (unique plan for high schools).
Background of the Theme's Reframing
As policy debate worldwide has shifted decisively toward an AI-centered frame, using the scope of "Privacy Protection" can no longer fully capture the issue. Demand for comprehensive AI governance intelligence has risen sharply among our RuleWatcher biz. users — companies operating at the frontiers of their respective fields. Recognizing that this theme is also of vital importance to the generation that will shape the time ahead, we extend its availability to RuleWatcher edu., our plan for high schools.
Intention of the Information Design
At the core of this theme lies a recognition that AI — which by its nature should remain human-centric — is being seriously challenged by applications such as Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS). Watching closely how international debate on AI governance develops and creating conditions in which a broader range of people can engage with that debate, is the central purpose of the new "AI Governance" theme.

In developing this theme, we have received advisory input and editorial collaboration from the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) under the auspices of UNESCO.
