IRCAI (International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence) is an organization under the umbrella of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), which was established to research, advocate, develop and disseminate information on AI.

IRCAI examines artificial intelligence-based solutions from around the world to create the world's largest sustainable solutions platform and to help these exemplary technologies become more influential. To help make these exemplary technologies more impactful, the IRCAI Global Top 100 has been selected.

The IRCAI Global Top 100 selects projects from five geographic regions - Africa, Europe, America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East - that are particularly outstanding in their focus on ethics and applying artificial intelligence to achieve the SDGs.

The online side event, "From Commitment to Action - presenting AI solutions for the SDGs," was held on February 18, 2022. At the event, Ambassador Boštjan Malovrh, Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the United Nations, and IRCAI Director John Schaueterer presented key advances in AI technology for the SDGs.
